Financial Services

We have built and maintained production platforms for Chile's leading retail and commercial banks, including Banco Santander, BCI, Itau, Corpbanca, and Banco Falabella. Higher Education
University platforms serve a uniquely demanding population: thousands of concurrent users with conflicting data access needs, governed by institutional policy and academic calendar constraints. We have delivered evaluation, performance management, and administrative systems for a 17,000-student Chilean university, operating across both academic and administrative functions at scale.
Retail & Consumer
Retail operations generate volume: millions of transactions, complex supplier networks, and internal workflows that span procurement, logistics, and HR. We have delivered platforms for some of Latin America's largest retail conglomerates and supermarket chains, including Cencosud, Jumbo, Santa Isabel, and Unimarc, serving operations at national scale.
Export & Agriculture
Global export operations depend on platforms that manage procurement, supplier onboarding, internal HR, and operational data at enterprise scale, often across multiple subsidiary organisations. Our longest-standing client relationship is with VSPT Wine Group, a top-20 global wine exporter, for whom we have delivered over 10 internal platforms covering HR, procurement, finance, and employee services since 2017.

Architecture for Production
Data model, integration points, security boundaries, and documented API contracts are designed before the build begins. This is where costly mistakes get caught, not after they are already in production.
Iterative Delivery
Working software delivered in stages. You see progress, give feedback, and the product evolves in the right direction throughout the build. Controlled releases with documentation, checklists, and rollback plans at every step.

About the Practice
The Practice
SyD Projects is an independent engineering practice founded in Viña del Mar, Chile in 2010. For fifteen years we have designed, delivered, and maintained mission-critical software platforms for enterprise clients across financial services, higher education, retail, and global export industries.
Our work spans the full engagement lifecycle: requirements discovery, platform architecture, iterative build, controlled launch, and long-term production support. We do not hand over codebases and disappear. The platforms we build are systems our clients depend on daily, and we remain responsible for them accordingly.
To date that track record covers 50+ platforms delivered, 35,000+ active end users, and more than three million records under active management across a portfolio of multi-year client relationships.

The Principal
I'm Eduardo Solís, the founder and principal of SyD Projects. I have been a working software engineer for over 15 years and have run this practice since 2010.
Every engagement is led by me personally. When a project benefits from additional specialist capability, I bring in trusted collaborators I have worked with for years. There are no junior resources billed at senior rates, and no account managers standing between a client and the engineer doing the work.
My background is in Civil Engineering in Computer Science (UTFSM Chile), and I hold lead auditor certifications in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 Integrated Management Systems. That formal quality and process training shapes how I approach delivery and documentation on every engagement.
